The Blind BeggarA little bit off the beaten track ( Map 1:25,000 ) however if you catch the 7 or better the 8 bus it's only at nost a five minute walk. The surounding area is very quiet wiuth the welcome addition of a chippy just down the road. Map 1:10,000 DrinksA small bar with just one cydre and a half dozen or so beers, cheap compared to some central bars. AtmosphereVery Rocky, with pieces of old bikes strewn around it has a really biker feel to it. Seems tolerant enough to Goth, the old Pioneer ( which is now the Cauldron) staff now tend the bar. Surrounding AreaQuiet, slightly remote Bad pointsPoor selection of nibbly things like crisps and nuts ( see below ). No mirror or shelf in the gents toilets Good PointsGood beer, pub quiz on Sundays, has web site. Serves hot food, very good rock duke box. Orange cordial is cheap.
