Morpheux Logs and Stats

There are many ways to process the stat's of web site, below I give some options of which you may choose -:

• Everything all images, webcam pictures robots crawling over the site and any familiar machines looking at it.
• No web bots or crawlers. Also some local machines and other clients removed, but still with the web cam pictures.
• No web cam, crawlers or familiar machines ( for last week).

It takes roughly 7 minutes to extract the logs from Apaches' log files and process them to generate the reports above. Each report has to be generated seperatly. I use Analog to generate the reports and I run it on a P75 with 128M of RAM, they are regenerated each day in the morning.

Overall since my site went live in 1999 I have had a steady linear increase in visiters which I hope is a reflection of the care and effort I put into making sure that there is real content that people can look at no matter what their browser might be.
