A Little About Morpheux

I'm a programmer/sysadmin ( Unix hacker,PERL etc) living in Edinburgh.
I've been living here since 1992.
I've been married since 9^th Oct 1998.
I met my spouse in a Goth club in Edinburgh (Oct 1997) and got engaged while at Whitby Goth feastival (April 1998).
I work as a programmer/systems administrator.
My hobby is Linux.
Apart from my day job with Intelligent Finance I run a small business makeing corset bones and busks called Fosts.com.
I also make network cables ( Cat5/6 ) for friends

I'm tall, size 14/16. Blue eyes, pale skin.
My hair reaches to the small of my back, and is black.
However naturally I'm very blonde ;-).
I spend far too much money on clothes!
This year, 2002, is the year of corsets and I'm starting a new hoby of making bones and busks.

Before I became a programmer I was at Edinburgh university, at which I gained a Honours degree in Astrophysics.

For many years now I have been a member of the local Goth and Rock Soc called Edgar. We run a regular night club as well as big one-off multiband gigs. In 1999 we put on a one day feastival which was the biggest Goth feastival in Scotland at that time. Hopefully there are going to be more soon. I've recently been doing lots of work for Edlug the Edinburgh Linux Users Group. I'm helping to look after the web site and have organized a couple of events. I've even delivered a couple of talks on Sendmail and PostgreSQL. I'm currently the driving force behind the UKUUG Linux conference comming to Edinburgh for 2003. I've also helped get a O'Reilly discount of the soc. and run the mailing list archive.

I've done a lot of redecorating of my house, I now have lots of black and purple walls, a big black wrought Iron double bed with all black sheets :-). The lounge now has cleaned and tested real coal fire, and we have wrought iron lamp shades.

I love playing with Sendmail :-)
And drinking cydre, which I sometime brew myself. I adore David Lynch films especially Twin Peaks and its spin offs. I have a web cam, which runs linux :-)

I provide all my own internet services, only using my ISP as an upstream router.

Life never stands still, people change lives alter and diverge; I'll try to keep this page as upto date with my life and likes as posible. I might even fix the spelling and grammer.
